The Wrinkly One has seemed much like an old cat since she returned. She seems to spend most of her time catnapping, and doesn’t leave her comfy places much. Not that I particularly mind.
Especially since my favorite comfy place happens to come naturally whenever she is comfy. Fancy that!
But today, the den seems restless. The Wrinkly One’s Kit has been noisy and far too energetic. I can’t imagine why, as there isn’t even soft tuna food out, just the same old hard niblets as always.
Her behavior has been strange, too… she’s been systematically going about the den finding all the things that my mate and I most enjoy using as playthings…
…And moving them into the worst of places, when we had gone to great lengths to put those things exactly where we wanted them!
*sigh* She’d better not have messed with the nice-smelling mouse I keep hidden under the Wrinkly One’s sleeping place…
Oh good, it’s there–
Oh what is this!? When did all the kits show up?
Oh, don’t try to act nice, Dog-lover! You’re on my territory now!
*sigh* The Wrinkly One looks like a content Queen when she is with the Little Ones, though.
I never knew that two-leggers enjoyed belly rubs too, but then, the Wrinkly One does give the best belly rubs…
*sniff sniff*
*sniiiiiiff*
Heeeeeeeey…
Hey, Wrinkly One… Is that… Is that meat?!
Oh, it’s meat! I smell meat! You can’t fool me! Meat! Meatmeatmeatmeat!
MEAT!
For me? Oh, you shouldn’t have!
Um… wait a second here… Where is the meat for kitty?
OH COME ON!
Dropitdropitdropitdropitdropit…
Even the two-legger kitten gets warm milk! That’s better than what I’ve got! At least throw me a bone here!
Hmmmmmmmmmm…
Oh… oooooooooh… so much meat! Smells soooooo good!
Two-legger check!
Hmm… So the Spotted Queen is getting treats… Better than stinky niblets, but not as good as tasty meat, and she’s keeping one of the Wrinkly One’s Kit busy…
The Wrinkly One is preoccupied with the Dog-lover…
And the Wrinkly One’s other Kit is playing with the Little Ones! Fantastic!
Aaaaah… Hmm… has a bit of a strange flavor on the skin, but the fleshy part is pretty tasty!
*licks paw* Now that’s what I call a meal fit for a feline!
The Wrinkly One seems so full of energy… I haven’t seen her like this for some time. But I know my Wrinkly One. She can never fully hide her exhaustion.
And, as quickly as a light going out, the Wrinkly One’s energy is gone. Heh, she really does make a good cat.
Shh… Just let her rest, Dog-lover. Just let her rest…
What a lovely home-coming ! This is such a happy chapter !

And this is why that ol’ Reaper couldn’t fool Rose. Earl would never have stopped her from having a moment like this to say her goodbyes!

Shadow doesn’t need her old Rose to serve meal himself. The full plate for him how lucky ! Others two-leggers kitten and dogf lovers just got a plate of.

He is a very resourceful cat. Let’s just hope no one decides to save those leftovers… >_>

OHHH naughty kitty (I have a pup who does that) .. The “Oh, don’t try to act nice, Dog-lover! You’re on my territory now!” line had me rolling!

My parent’s dog has been known to swipe entire loaves of bread off the counter! When I was on vacation I found my bag of tea on the floor in the living room and they were like, “You left your room door open, we told you not to do that!” “No I didn’t, I had it on the counter, by the Keurig!” “Ooooh… ya, he’ll just take it right off the counter.”
Shadow can smell the Scottie all over her, he won’t be so easily fooled. ^_~ (It makes me laugh because any time Rose invites the fam over, Shadow is always autonomously hissing at Melody and Ashton… only her granddaughter is in his good graces, but she was smart enough to get there by spoiling him, hahaha)

What kind of dog do they have. Mines a Chihuahua and she can get things off the counter with no problem whatsoever. When we babysit my daughters Chihuahua mine would get up on the counter and drop him a cookie first and then take her own eating it on the counter because he can’t get up there … so clever …

No clue other than BIG! If he gets up on his hind legs he can put his forepaws on my shoulders!
